Drums

drum kit(also drum set ,kit, [1] or trap set) is a collections of drums,cymbals and often otherpercussion instruments such aswood blocks,triangles,chimes, ortambourines, arranged for convenient playing by a single person (drummer). The term "drum kit" first became used in the 1700s in Britain. In theU.S., the terms "drum set", and "trap set" were more prevalent historically.(From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drum_kit).

Many people feel the drums set is the heartbeat of any band. A skillful drummer can enhance the performance of a band of any skill level. A poor drummer can ruin the best performance of the most highly skilled musicians. At CME we have teachers who are accomplished drummers who have played in a variety of bands. Each has studied all aspects of drumming, from how to hit each instrument in the set to how to blend with other instruments, or how to adjust a performance based on the environment. Students in drum class learn a progressive set of beats and exercises to hone their rhythmic and coordinative techniques. Drum class is available in small group or private lessons.

Private voice lessons are available as well.
